QR work stays local
Codes, scans, history and saved styles are processed and stored on your device—not on a SAARapps server.
A clear explanation of how QR-Gen handles the content you create or scan, the images you select, and the choices you make inside the Android app.
Codes, scans, history and saved styles are processed and stored on your device—not on a SAARapps server.
QR content or exported files leave the app only when you open a link, save a file or share with another app.
No developer account, advertising, cloud database, behavioral profiling or sale of personal information.
SAARapps QR-Gen is developed by SAARapps. This Privacy Policy explains how the Android application accesses and handles information. The app is designed as an offline-first utility and does not require a SAARapps account.
You may enter information to create QR codes, including website addresses, plain text, email details, phone numbers, messages, WhatsApp links, Wi-Fi credentials, contact-card details, locations and calendar events. QR-Gen also reads the encoded content of codes you scan.
This processing happens on your device. SAARapps does not upload QR content, scan results, creation history, favorites or saved style presets to a developer-operated server.
QR-Gen requests camera permission only when you use live scanning. Camera frames are analyzed on your device to recognize QR codes. The app does not upload camera frames to SAARapps, does not use them for advertising, and does not record video.
When you choose to scan an existing image or add a custom logo to a QR design, QR-Gen opens the Android system picker. The app receives access only to the item you select and uses it for the action you requested. Selected content is processed locally and is not uploaded to SAARapps.
QR-Gen Pro is offered as a one-time purchase through Google Play. Google processes payment information under its own terms and privacy policy. QR-Gen does not receive or store your credit-card or bank-account number. The app receives purchase and entitlement status from Google Play only to unlock or restore Pro features.
After scanning a code, you may choose to open its content in another app, such as a web browser. You may also save QR images and ZIP archives or share files and text through Android's share sheet. The destination app, site, storage provider or recipient may process that content under its own privacy terms.
QR history, favorites, saved styles, preferences and app settings are stored locally. Depending on your Android device and backup settings, eligible app data may be included in Android backup or device transfer services operated by your platform provider.
You can delete individual history items inside QR-Gen. Local app data remains until you delete it, clear the app's storage or uninstall the app. Exported images and ZIP files remain wherever you saved or shared them and must be deleted from those locations separately. SAARapps cannot remotely retrieve or delete content it does not hold.
The current version does not contain advertising, a developer analytics database, behavioral profiling, third-party telemetry or cross-app tracking. It does not require a SAARapps account. SAARapps does not sell or rent personal information from QR-Gen.
Local app data benefits from Android's application sandbox and device protections. No storage or sharing method can guarantee absolute security. Protect your device, review codes before opening them, and take care when saving or sharing QR codes that contain sensitive information.
QR-Gen is a general utility and is not directed to children. SAARapps does not knowingly collect children's personal information through a developer-operated server. Parents and guardians should supervise the information children encode, scan, open or share.
We may update this Privacy Policy when app functionality or legal requirements change. Material updates will be published on this page and the effective date will be revised.
